A Glow Run through downtown Enid begins at 8:00pm. This is a 5K chip-timed event, as well as a fun run. Proceeds will be used to benefit the Chisholm Foundation in support of educational excellence throughout the Chisholm Public School District.
Join the Chisholm Foundation in raising money for Chisholm Schools by participating in the 3rd Annual Go For Glow 5k and 1 mile Fun Run on Friday, April 8th, 2016. The 1 mile fun run/walk will begin at 8:00 pm. This will allow 5k participants to run with fun-runners if needed. The Go for Glow 5k will begin at 8:30 pm, which is dusk. The route will start near the intersection of Randolph and Grand by Viki Resler’s Chiropractic Center.
Packet pick-up the night before, on April 7th, will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, also at The Chiropractic Center at 102 W. Randolph. The cost of the 5K is $25 and the cost of the fun run is $15 if purchased before April 6th. Purchase a Family/Team 4-pack and save $15. A 4-pack comes with two (2) 5K registrations and two (2) Fun Run registrations for only $65 if purchased by April 6th.
Are you an "early to bed, early to rise" kind of person? If 8:30 PM is just too late at night for a run or if you will be out of town, register under our "Sleepwalker" category for only $20. This is a great way to support the Chisholm Foundation, receive one of the neon shirts, and stay cozy in your bed.
Race day registration will be at the Chiropractic Center and the cost will increase by $5 each.
Register by Monday, April 4th to be guaranteed a neon Go For Glow T-shirt. T-shirts for registrations after April 4th, will be available on a first come, first serve basis the night of packet pickup.
Each participant will also receive one glow item with their registration. More glow items will be available for purchase the evening of the event. We encourage all participants to “glow” with personality for the run. A costume contest will be held and an award given to the most glowing personality. The 5K will be chip-timed by the Enid Running Club. Fun Run participants will also receive a race bib but will not be timed. Prizes will be given for overall winners and age group winners based on gun time.
